Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL) has announced a price increase across its Farmtrac, Powertrac and Kubota tractor ranges, with revised rates coming into effect in November 2026 after the festive season. The company has attributed the decision to rising input costs and increasing pressure on manufacturing and operational expenses.
The increase follows sustained inflationary pressure on raw materials, energy, logistics and other production-related costs. The company also cited geopolitical uncertainties as a factor contributing to the rise in input prices.
Escorts Kubota said it had introduced several cost-optimisation measures and operational efficiency initiatives over the past few months to limit the impact of higher expenses. It also absorbed a substantial portion of the additional costs rather than passing them entirely on to customers.
However, continued increases in input costs have made a partial price revision necessary to manage the financial pressure on its manufacturing and business operations.
The extent of the increase will differ across models, variants and geographical markets. Customers will be able to obtain details of the revised prices from the company's authorised dealerships.
The announcement comes at a time when manufacturers across several sectors are facing higher input costs, particularly for energy, raw materials and transportation. Geopolitical tensions and supply-chain uncertainties have added to the cost pressures, raising concerns over production expenses and profit margins.
For tractor buyers, the revised prices could increase the cost of purchasing new farm machinery, particularly for farmers planning equipment purchases after the festive season.
Commenting on the decision, Manish Sharma, President – Agri Business, Escorts Kubota Limited, said “We have made every effort to minimize the impact of rising input costs on our customers. This measured revision enables us to sustain our commitment to quality, innovation and customer value. We remain focused on delivering reliable, technology-led solutions through our Farmtrac, Powertrac and Kubota brands to support the productivity and profitability of Indian farmers.”
Meanwhile, Escorts Kubota has been expanding its tractor portfolio with new offerings, including the Farmtrac PROMAXX series, Powertrac Shaurya series and an expanded Digitrac range. Its Kubota portfolio has also been strengthened with the NeoStar and MU series.
The company said these product additions, along with the expansion of its dealer network, are aimed at providing farmers with a wider choice of tractors suited to different agricultural applications and requirements.
