IFGE to Host Sixth India Green Energy Awards, Nominations Open Till May 15

Indian Federation of Green Energy will organise the sixth edition of the India Green Energy Awards with support from key Union ministries. The awards aim to recognise excellence and innovation across renewable energy sectors, including solar, wind, bioenergy and electric mobility. Nominations for the awards close on May 15, 2026.

Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE) has announced the sixth edition of the India Green Energy Awards, aimed at recognising companies and innovators making significant contributions to the renewable and green energy sectors. The awards are being organised with support from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Rural Voice is the media partner of this programme.

According to IFGE, the initiative seeks to encourage innovation, sustainability and wider participation in India’s clean energy transition. The federation said the awards will honour achievements across several renewable energy segments, including solar power, wind energy, hydropower, compressed biogas, biomass, biodiesel, grain ethanol, sugar ethanol, electric vehicles and bio-mobility. Innovative and unique technologies and projects in the green energy sector will also be recognised.

IFGE said the awards platform aims to promote not only large-scale industry participation but also contributions from start-ups and small and medium enterprises working in sustainable energy solutions.

The organisation highlighted that renewable and green energy sectors are critical for reducing emissions and helping countries achieve net-zero climate targets. It added that stronger policy frameworks and greater stakeholder participation are essential for building a sustainable energy ecosystem.

Previous editions of the awards have been attended by senior government leaders, including Union ministers and policymakers associated with transport, renewable energy and commerce sectors.

IFGE has invited nominations from eligible organisations and companies, with the last date for submissions set as May 15, 2026.
