The wait is nearly over for millions of beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. The Central Government has shared an important update regarding the 23rd installment of the scheme, announcing that eligible farmers will receive the next payment on June 20, 2026.
The official PM-KISAN social media account has confirmed the release date. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 2,000 will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of eligible farmers through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Over 9 crore farmers across the country are expected to receive the 23rd installment. The PM-KISAN scheme provides eligible farmers with annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000, which is paid in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each directly into their bank accounts.
The previous, 22nd installment was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 13, 2026, from Guwahati. During that phase, more than 9.46 crore farmers received financial assistance under the scheme.
