Parijat Industries (India) Limited, an India-headquartered agrochemical company, and HELM AG, a Germany-based global chemical company, have announced a multi-faceted strategic collaboration spanning digital commerce and branded crop protection products, technical manufacturing, and international distribution.
The partnership covers digital commerce, branded crop protection products, technical manufacturing, product development, sourcing, and international distribution. It will combine HELM's global agri-input portfolio and technology platforms with Parijat's manufacturing capabilities, formulation expertise, and international distribution network.
The collaboration also involves HELM portfolio company PEAT GmbH, developer of the Plantix digital agriculture platform, with a focus on strengthening farmer engagement and digital-led demand generation.
Expanding Digital and Branded Offerings in India
As part of the partnership, Parijat will acquire a retailer-focused digital commerce platform along with its associated retailer database. The move is expected to strengthen procurement efficiency, market access, and product distribution across key regions.
Parijat will also work with the Plantix team to leverage its farmer network and demand-generation capabilities. This will include the exclusive integration of certain Plantix features for direct-to-farmer marketing.
The companies will also establish a new branded product line in India. Parijat and its subsidiary Leeds Lifesciences will have exclusive rights to use the HELM brand in the Indian market. Parijat also plans to launch HELM's Plant Advantage Line of biostimulants and biological products in India.
Parijat to Support HELM's Global Supply Chain
The collaboration is also expected to strengthen Parijat's role in HELM's global supply chain.
Parijat plans to develop technical manufacturing capabilities for proprietary molecules developed by HELM. The companies also intend to establish Parijat as a toll manufacturing partner for HELM's global active ingredient and formulation requirements.
The partnership will provide Parijat with access to new international markets through HELM's established distribution network. Its products are proposed to be expanded into Latin America, Canada and Southeast Asia.
Parijat also plans to leverage HELM's global sourcing network to improve procurement competitiveness and work with HELM's network of multinational innovators to position itself as a product co-development partner in India.
Uday Raj Anand, CEO, Domestic Business at Parijat Industries, said the partnership with HELM and Plantix marked an important step towards the company's vision of using digital technologies for farmer advisory and distribution in the agrochemical industry.
He said the opportunity to launch products carrying the HELM brand in India was an important milestone for Parijat and reflected the company's reputation for trust and quality.
Shivraj Anand, CEO, International Business at Parijat Industries, said the partnership would allow the two companies to leverage their respective sourcing and distribution strengths across markets.
The collaboration, he said, would also enable Parijat to introduce biological solutions from HELM through its distribution network in international markets.
Stephan Schnabel, CEO of HELM AG, said the partnership was based not only on commercial opportunities but also on trust, shared values, and the potential to create value for customers and growers.
He said India was an important market for the future of agriculture and that combining HELM's global network and experience with Parijat's local capabilities could create value across the agricultural value chain.
The strategic collaboration comes as the global crop protection industry increasingly focuses on integrated solutions combining conventional crop protection, biologicals, digital agriculture, manufacturing partnerships, and farmer-centric distribution models.
