Sammunnati FPO conclave held in Hyderabad

The first edition of "Lighthouse FPO Conclave" was attended by 183 lighthouse FPOs (farmer producer organisations) nationwide. The conclave, marking the birth anniversary of the organisation, focused on exchanging ideas and discussing solutions related to scaling FPOs and making them commercially viable.

Samunnati, one of India’s largest agri enterprises, hosted a two-day conference ‘Building a Resilient FPO Ecosystem’ in Hyderabad from June 23 to recognise those making a positive, sustainable and long-term impact on farmers’ livelihoods.

The first edition of "Lighthouse FPO Conclave" was attended by 183 lighthouse FPOs (farmer producer organisations) nationwide. The conclave, marking the birth anniversary of the organisation, focused on exchanging ideas and discussing solutions related to scaling FPOs and making them commercially viable.

Anil S.G., founder & CEO, of Samunnati, shared his experience of growing the organisation and enabling empowerment for its associated FPOs. Currently, there are around 5,500 FPOs registered on Samunnati’s platform, of which 50 per cent are borrowers, while the majority avail the company’s market linkage offering.

The company provides short-term loans to Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) to provide working capital solutions to farmers.
