AVPL International aims to create 65,000 drone entrepreneurs

The campaign began in Gurugram, Haryana, where AVPL plans to conduct live drone demonstrations across 600 villages. Supported by the Gurugram Shikohpur Agricultural Science Centre, these demonstrations will showcase the benefits of drones in saving time, reducing labor, conserving water, and enabling cost-effective crop spraying.

AVPL International has recently launched a nationwide awareness campaign aimed at promoting drone use for progressive farming practices. The initiative seeks to make cutting-edge drone solutions accessible to farmers, improving efficiency and sustainability.

Farmers will experience how drones can enhance their operations by addressing key challenges in agriculture.

AVPL International aims to connect millions of farmers with drone technology over the next five years, working alongside partners like DeHaat and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). In addition, the company plans to create a robust ecosystem of 65,000 drone entrepreneurs and 80,000 agri-entrepreneurs.

Founder and Director Preet Sandhu expressed excitement about the initiative, saying, "We are thrilled to launch this campaign, aiming to make advanced drone technology accessible to farmers, even in the most remote areas."

To support this effort, AVPL will establish a network of drone repair and service centres, with four initial hubs planned for Haryana. The company also focuses on training "Drone Didis," or female drone operators, to empower women in agriculture and address logistical challenges related to drone maintenance.

Farmers and drone operators have welcomed the campaign, with local farmer Rajesh Kumar praising the convenience of the repair centres and Suman Devi, a Drone Didi, highlighting the need for repair training. This large-scale initiative aims to revolutionize agricultural practices in India, bringing advanced technology to the forefront of sustainable farming.
