For the first time, India will host the Global Cooperative Conference of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) in November 2024. Dr U.S. Awasthi, Managing Director and CEO of IFFCO met with the Union Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, at the Lok Sabha Secretariat in Parliament House to brief him on the forthcoming ICA Global Cooperative Conference and several important initiatives.
Dr. Awasthi highlighted the significance of the ICA Global Cooperative Conference, which is set to bring together cooperative leaders from around the world to discuss and promote the cooperative movement. This event marks the first time India will be hosting the ICA Global Cooperative Conference, underscoring the country's growing influence in the global cooperative sector.
In addition to the conference, Dr. Awasthi updated the Union Minister on IFFCO's recent innovations, including the introduction of IFFCO Nano Urea Plus and IFFCO Nano DAP. These products are part of IFFCO's mission to revolutionize agriculture with more efficient and sustainable solutions. Dr Awasthi also shared insights into IFFCO's initiatives to train rural entrepreneurs in agri-drone operations, aiming at enhancing precision agriculture and providing new opportunities for rural communities.
Reflecting on the meeting, Dr Awasthi expressed his satisfaction, noting it was a good meeting with Union Minister Amit Shah.
