National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL), the apex-level cooperative export organisation established by the Ministry of Cooperation, held its 4th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in New Delhi, reaffirming its commitment to transforming India’s cooperative export ecosystem. The hybrid event brought together member cooperatives from across the country, both in person and online, to review progress, exchange insights, and plan future strategies. In FY 2024–25, NCEL recorded a turnover of ₹4,283 crore.
Established to empower farmer collectives, producer organisations, and rural enterprises, NCEL has emerged as a key player in integrating grassroots producers into global value chains. Over the past two years, the organisation has onboarded over 10,000 cooperatives from diverse sectors, helping them achieve export readiness, meet international standards, and tap value-added trade opportunities.
The AGM featured active participation from members, discussions on innovation, export strategies, and a renewed focus on empowering farmer collectives. The meeting also approved the disbursement of 20% dividends to member cooperatives.
Speaking at the event, NCEL leadership emphasised the organisation’s importnt role in advancing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” and fulfilling the 5 Ps of Cooperation conceptualised by Union Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. NCEL reaffirmed its commitment to building an Atmanirbhar Bharat through cooperative-led exports. The AGM highlighted NCEL’s mission of promoting inclusive growth, sustainability, and global competitiveness.
As India celebrates the UN International Year of Cooperatives 2025, NCEL continues to lead the charge in positioning cooperatives as key drivers of equitable trade and rural prosperity.
