IFFCO Honours Women Cooperative Leaders at 55th AGM, Reports Rs 4,585 Crore Profit
For the first time, both IFFCO Sahkarita Awards were conferred to women cooperators by Dileep Sanghani, Chairman, IFFCO
Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) honoured the spirit of women empowerment and cooperative excellence during its 55th Annual General Meeting (AGM). On the occasion, the prestigious IFFCO Sahakarita Ratna and Sahakarita Bandhu Awards were conferred upon outstanding women achievers for the first time in IFFCO’s history, representing Kashmir and Gujarat, in recognition of their remarkable contributions toward strengthening the cooperative sector and empowering rural communities.
The IFFCO Sahakarita Ratna Award for Outstanding Services to the Cooperative Movement for the year 2024-25, along with an honorarium of Rs 11 lakhs, was conferred upon Shakeela Akhtar.
Commemorating the United Nations’ declaration of 2025-26 as the “Year of the Woman Farmer,” the honour was bestowed upon her in recognition of her outstanding contributions and exemplary commitment toward empowering and strengthening the women’s agriculture and cooperative movement at the grassroots level across the country, particularly in Jammu & Kashmir.

Subsequently, Bhavna Gondaliya was conferred the IFFCO Sahakarita Bandhu Award for the year 2024-25, along with a cash prize of Rs 11,00,000, in recognition of her outstanding services to the cooperative movement and her exemplary contribution toward the empowerment of women in agriculture.
Addressing the gathering, IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani highlighted the collective strength behind IFFCO’s continued success. He stated that the unwavering support and dedication of cooperatives, farmers, and professional employees have played a pivotal role in making IFFCO one of the world’s leading cooperative institutions.
“IFFCO’s journey and achievements are a reflection of the power of cooperation. Our farmers, cooperative societies, and professional workforce together form the backbone of this success story,” Sanghani said.
K J Patel, Managing Director, IFFCO, announced that the society achieved a profit of Rs 4585 crores. An incentive of Rs 490.65 crores has been announced for IFFCO employees this year, which is unprecedented. As announced by IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani, a minimum wage of Rs 20,000 has been fixed for lower-level employees, for which an additional budget of Rs 140 crores has been allocated.

The AGM witnessed participation from more than 850 cooperative leaders, member societies, farmers’ representatives, and stakeholders from across the country, underscoring the growing strength and relevance of the cooperative movement in India.
Financial & Operational Performance
IFFCO produced 90.63 lakh MT of fertilizers in FY 2025–26, including 48.29 lakh MT of urea and 42.34 lakh MT of NPK/DAP/WSFs and specialty fertilizers. IFFCO’s Profit Before Tax for FY 2025–26 is projected to exceed an all-time high of Rs 4,200 crore.
Sectoral Initiatives
An exhibition showcased major advancements and investments in new sectors, including Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL), National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL), IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance Company, CORDET, IFFDC, IFFCO Bazar, IFFCO-MC, and Kisan Rural Finance, among various initiatives. The AGM also marked the reaffirmation of IFFCO’s investment in Bharat Taxi through equity shareholding.
Focus on Sustainable Agriculture
Under the new leadership of Dileep Sanghani, IFFCO reiterated its commitment to sustainable farming practices, with special emphasis on the wider adoption of nano-fertilizers and enhanced support for small and marginal farmers to improve productivity and income.
