Escorts Kubota Limited has launched two new premium utility tractors, the Kubota MU4502 (45 HP) and MU5002 (50 HP), targeting the 41–50 HP segment of the Indian tractor market. The new models come with an industry-first eight-year transferable warranty, which the company says reflects confidence in their durability and long working life.

The tractors strengthen Kubota’s premium utility portfolio and are designed for farmers seeking higher productivity, comfort and multi-purpose performance. With the latest additions, the MU range now comprises five models—MU4201, MU4501, MU4502, MU5002 and MU5502.

Both tractors are powered by the Kubota KQP4 Japanese engine and feature a 12F + 4R Multi-Speed Synchromesh Gearbox, allowing farmers to select suitable speeds for operations ranging from heavy tillage to haulage. They also feature Pompa Lift with Dual Stabilizer Spring (DSS) Technology, designed to maintain implement stability and consistent working depth on uneven fields.

The tractors feature full LED lighting, a covered flat-deck platform, premium bucket seat, suspended pedals, double-acting power steering and ergonomically positioned controls. Balancer shaft technology is designed to reduce vibration and improve operator comfort during long working hours.

The MU4502 and MU5002 are compatible with a wide range of primary and secondary farm implements, including super seeders, seed drills, potato planters, mini round balers and cultivators. They can be used for crops such as paddy, wheat, maize, pulses and soybean, besides haulage and commercial applications. A reverse PTO supports specialised equipment such as rotavators and straw reapers.

The models are aimed at farms of five acres and above and have been launched as pan-India offerings. The company also sees potential among progressive farmers, tractor owners looking to upgrade, contract farming operators and custom hiring businesses.

Escorts Kubota Chairman and Managing Director Nikhil Nanda said the new tractors strengthen the company's position in one of the largest and most important segments of the Indian tractor market.

Rajan Chugh, Chief Officer, Tractor Division, said the company is shifting the focus from horsepower to “earning power”, with the tractors designed to support higher farm productivity and custom hiring opportunities. The transferable warranty will remain with the tractor even after a change in ownership, potentially supporting long-term ownership value and resale prospects.
