IFFCO-MC Launches Patented Fungicide Mitsuki, Adjuvant NexaWet

IFFCO-MC Crop Science has launched Mitsuki, its first patented 9(3) fungicide, and NexaWet, a citrus peel extract-based silicone adjuvant. Unveiled at SwarnArambh 2026 in Chandigarh, the products target improved disease management and spray efficiency. The company said the launches underline its growing focus on technology-led, farmer-centric crop protection solutions.

IFFCO-MC Crop Science Pvt. Ltd. has launched Mitsuki, its first patented 9(3) fungicide, along with NexaWet, a citrus peel extract-based silicone adjuvant, as part of its push to expand technology-driven crop protection solutions for Indian agriculture.
 
The two products were unveiled at the company’s flagship event, “SwarnArambh 2026 – Marching Towards a New Golden Decade”, held in Chandigarh. The event brought together more than 350 participants, including representatives from the cooperative sector, global technology partners, agribusiness companies, channel partners, farmers and the media.
 
The event was inaugurated by Dileep Sanghani, Chairman of IFFCO and IFFCO-MC, in the presence of senior officials and directors of IFFCO and IFFCO-MC. Speaking at the event, Sanghani said innovation must remain central to the development of Indian agriculture and stressed the need to bring globally advanced technologies to farmers.
 
“IFFCO-MC is committed to bringing globally advanced, farmer-centric technologies that improve productivity, profitability and sustainability,” he said, adding that the launch of Mitsuki and NexaWet marked a new phase in the company’s efforts to provide advanced crop protection solutions.
 
Focus on paddy disease management
 
Mitsuki has been developed using a patented combination of Thiophanate Methyl and Picoxystrobin. According to the company, the fungicide is designed to provide effective management of major diseases affecting paddy, including sheath blight, blast and grain discoloration.
 
The launch comes amid growing emphasis on improving crop productivity through more effective crop protection technologies. Paddy diseases can significantly affect both yield and grain quality, making timely and efficient disease management an important component of farm production.
 
The second product, NexaWet, is a citrus peel extract-based silicone adjuvant. IFFCO-MC said the product is designed to improve the performance of crop protection sprays by enhancing coverage, spreading, adhesion, absorption and uptake.
 
Adjuvants are increasingly being used to improve the efficiency of crop protection applications, particularly by helping active ingredients spread more uniformly across plant surfaces and improving their interaction with crops.
 
Technology and global partnerships
 
Manoj Varshney, CEO, IFFCO-MC, described SwarnArambh 2026 as more than a product launch, saying it represented the beginning of a new phase for the company. “Through advanced technologies and strategic global partnerships, we will continue delivering high-quality solutions that create greater value for Indian farmers,” Varshney said.
 
The company said the event reflected its growing focus on innovation and technology-led solutions for Indian agriculture.
 
Established in 2015 as a joint venture between Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation, IFFCO-MC has expanded its presence in the Indian crop protection market.
 
The company currently operates across 18 states and has a network of more than 7,500 channel partners. Its portfolio comprises over 85 crop protection products, according to the company.
 
IFFCO-MC also operates a Single-Tier Distribution Model and runs farmer-focused welfare initiatives, including the Kisan Suraksha Bima Yojana. The company said its broader objective is to support sustainable agriculture and enhance farmers’ incomes by providing quality crop protection products at reasonable prices.
