IFFCO-MC Marks 12th Foundation Day, Reaffirms Focus on Innovation and Farmer Welfare

IFFCO-MC Crop Science marked its 12th Foundation Day, highlighting 11 years of contribution to Indian agriculture through quality crop protection solutions, innovation and farmer-focused initiatives. The company said it will continue developing accessible, effective and sustainable solutions while strengthening its nationwide farmer network.

IFFCO-MC Crop Science Private Limited, a joint venture between Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation, celebrated its 12th Foundation Day in Gurugram, reaffirming its commitment to innovation, quality crop protection solutions and farmer welfare.

The company said the occasion marked 11 years of its journey towards supporting the growth and development of Indian agriculture. The event was attended by senior leadership from IFFCO and Mitsubishi Corporation, including IFFCO and IFFCO-MC Chairman Dileep Sanghani, Mitsubishi Corporation India Chairman Tokuda Takahiro, IFFCO Managing Director K.J. Patel and IFFCO Marketing Director and IFFCO-MC Managing Director Yogendra Kumar.

Speaking at the event, Sanghani said the company’s journey had been guided by the objective of serving Indian agriculture and creating value for farmers. He said IFFCO-MC would continue to focus on innovative, effective and sustainable solutions in response to the changing needs of the farming community.

Over the years, IFFCO-MC has expanded its crop protection portfolio covering insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, plant growth regulators and emerging biological products. The company said these solutions are aimed at improving crop health and productivity while supporting more sustainable agricultural practices.

The company has also built a broad distribution and farmer-connect network comprising cooperative societies, channel partners, IFFCO Bazaars, Farmer Service Centres and other touchpoints across the country.

Tokuda Takahiro said the rapid evolution of agriculture would require greater collaboration, technology and a deeper understanding of farmers’ needs. He said the partnership between Mitsubishi Corporation and IFFCO combines global expertise with IFFCO’s strong farmer network.

Established in 2015, IFFCO-MC also offers free accidental insurance to farmers under its Kisan Suraksha Bima Yojana on the purchase of its products. The company said its single-tier distribution model is aimed at improving transparency, efficiency and farmer-friendly pricing.

The Foundation Day event also recognised employees who have completed five and 10 years of service with the company.
