The Dubai World Trade Centre is all set to bring the Middle East and North Africa’s (MENA’s) leading event for the gourmet and food industry The Speciality Food Festival 8-10 November 2022. This year Plant Based Foods Industry Association (PBFIA) is an association partner from India.
Known for being the home of fine food for hospitality in the region, The Speciality Food Festival is the platform to network with plant-based food and beverage companies from around the world. The three-day exhibition will bring excellent networking and engagement opportunities to connect with the global industry to successfully develop, source and distribute plant-based products.
It is a go-to destination for the industry to discover what’s new, source 20,000+ products, learn about emerging trends, build relationships with other food and drink professionals, source many innovative plant-based products, network with acclaimed industry pioneers and learn how to stay ahead in the market.
Sanjay Sethi, Executive Director, PBFIA, says, “With the presence of industry giants and investors, Dubai provides a great networking and export opportunity, and the Speciality Food Festival in particular is a great platform for start-ups to meet global leaders, develop good international partnerships, and learn about the latest industry trends in this sector while spotlighting their products. I'm also happy that our member, The Blue Tribe Foods, one of the leading companies in this space in India, also backed by the cricket master class Virat Kohli and Bollywood star Anushka Sharma, will be showcasing their products at the exhibition.”
The visitors will also get access to Gulfood Manufacturing, GulfHost, The Speciality Food Festival, ISM Middle East (previously Yummex ME) and Private Label Licensing ME.
The demand for plant protein is increasing throughout the world. According to a report by PBFIA and The Insight Partners, the Indian plant-based foods market is set to cross the $5bn (Rs 40,000 crores) mark by 2032. Of this, a significant share is expected to be occupied by the export market as well, which makes events like this even more important, so the plant-based industry can leverage this export potential.
PBFIA is a CEO-led body and works towards building a robust ecosystem for the plant-based foods industry in India.
The Speciality Food Festival is the ultimate meeting place for the hospitality, food service and retail industries, providing an experiential platform for artisanal, fine food and exotic ingredients. This year, in its 11th edition, the show will celebrate premium food exhibitors and hundreds of brands across six core sectors, from Artisan & Gourmet, Vegan & Plant-Based, Organic & Free-From, to Food Services, Speciality Coffee and Health & Wellness, drawing almost 10,000 buyers to this global centre gathering for the international hospitality trade.
