Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the first gift to the farmers of the country as soon as he took charge on Monday, June 10. The Prime Minister has approved the release of the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana). Signing the first file of his third term, he has released Rs 20 thousand crore of Kisan Nidhi. Now soon the next installment of Rs 2 Thousand will be transferred to the farmers' account. This will benefit 9.3 crore farmers of the country.
What did PM Modi say after signing the file?
After signing the file, Prime Minister Modi said, "Our government is fully committed to farmer welfare. Therefore it is appropriate that the first file signed on taking charge is related to farmer welfare. We want to do even more work for farmers and agriculture sector in the coming time." Today is also the first cabinet meeting of the third term of the Modi government. In which many decisions can be taken. Before the cabinet meeting, the government can distribute their ministries to all the ministers.
'First day of Modi 3.0 dedicated to farmers'
At the same time, Union Minister Amit Shah wrote on social media platform X, "Today Prime Minister Modi ji released the 17th installment of 'PM Kisan Samman Nidhi' and distributed 20 thousand crores, which will benefit about 9.3 crore farmers. In the 16 installments so far of this scheme to help farmers, more than 3 lakh crores have been distributed directly through DBT to more than 12 crore 33 lakh beneficiaries. This decision shows that the interest of farmers is one of the top priorities for the NDA government. I express my gratitude to PM Shri @narendramodi ji on behalf of crores of farmers of the country for this welfare decision."
Financial assistance of 6 thousand rupees annually to farmers
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is a scheme of the central government, under which financial assistance is given to farmers. This scheme was started on 24 February 2019. Under the scheme, farmers get financial assistance of 6 thousand rupees every year. The amount of the scheme is sent to the bank accounts of farmers in three installments of two thousand rupees each. So far 16 installments of the scheme have been released. At the same time, now Prime Minister Modi has announced the release of the 17th installment. For which Rs 20 thousand crores have been released.
