From Guwahati, Assam, PM Narendra Modi will digitally transfer the 22nd installment to more than 9.32 crore farmers. Prime Minister has released the 21st installment of PM-KISAN on 19 November 2025 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
PM Kisan Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is one of the major farmer welfare schemes of the Government of India. The scheme was launched in 2019 with the objective of providing financial assistance to small and marginal farmers.
Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive financial support of Rs 6000 per year. The amount is transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts in three equal installments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Each installment of Rs 2000 is released every four months.
According to government data, more than 9 crore farmers across the country are benefiting from this scheme. The central government has already transferred more than Rs 3 lakh crore to farmers’ bank accounts under the PM Kisan scheme.
With the release of the 22nd installment, a large number of farmers will once again receive financial support, which helps them manage expenses related to farming such as seeds, fertilizers, and other agricultural inputs.
e-KYC Mandatory
The government has made e-KYC mandatory for beneficiaries of the scheme. Farmers who have not completed their e-KYC may face difficulties in receiving the installment. They can complete OTP-based e-KYC through the official PM Kisan Portal or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC.
In addition, the bank account must be linked with Aadhaar. In many cases, installments get delayed due to issues such as incorrect bank details or lack of Aadhaar seeding.
How To Check Installment Status
Farmers can check the status of their installment on the official PM Kisan website. For this, they need to visit the “Beneficiary Status” section and enter their Aadhaar number, mobile number, or registration number.
This allows farmers to see whether the installment has been released and also helps them identify and resolve any issues in time.
