Agri-tech startup INERA Crop Science and agriculture value-chain company CropNXT Solutions have entered into a multi-year strategic partnership to expand access to science-led biological agricultural inputs, targeting more than 65 lakh farmers across India. The collaboration is expected to create a business opportunity of around Rs 500 crore while promoting sustainable and climate-resilient farming practices.

Under the partnership, the two companies aim to reach farmers through a network of over 5,000 channel partners and retail outlets and facilitate the adoption of biological agricultural inputs across nearly 20 lakh acres of cultivated land. The initiative will focus on improving farm productivity, soil health and input-use efficiency while strengthening resilience against climate-related challenges.

The companies said the collaboration comes at a time when Indian farmers are facing rising input costs, erratic weather, declining soil fertility, water stress and increasing pest pressure. They believe biological agricultural solutions can help improve crop performance, enhance soil vitality and support long-term sustainability by working with natural biological processes.

INERA will contribute its portfolio of science-led biological crop solutions, while CropNXT will leverage its distribution network, retailer relationships and farmer outreach to improve last-mile access and adoption of these products. The companies said the partnership is designed to bridge the gap between agricultural innovation and on-ground implementation by combining technology with an established market network.

Agam Khare, Founder of INERA Crop Science, said climate change is already affecting Indian agriculture through heat stress, pest attacks and rising cultivation costs, and that the partnership aims to scale biological solutions that improve farm resilience and profitability. Ajeet Singh Chahal, Founder of CropNXT Solutions, said the collaboration will enable the company to offer a broader portfolio of sustainable agricultural inputs through its existing value-chain ecosystem.

The companies said the long-term partnership seeks to support regenerative agriculture by improving farmer incomes, strengthening crop productivity and promoting healthier soils through wider adoption of biological farming solutions.
