Dileep Sanghani Elected Chairman of IFFCO-MC Crop Science

Dileep Sanghani has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of IFFCO-MC Crop Science Pvt. Ltd. during the company’s 47th Board Meeting held recently. The appointment was formally approved at IFFCO Sadan in the presence of board members and senior leadership officials.

IFFCO-MC said the appointment comes at a crucial phase for Indian agriculture, as the sector undergoes rapid transformation driven by technology adoption, sustainability concerns and the growing need to improve farm productivity.

Sanghani, who also serves as Chairman of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), has been associated with the cooperative movement for more than three decades. He currently holds leadership roles in several national and state-level cooperative organisations, including NAFED, National Cooperative Union of India and GUJCOMASOL.

A four-time Lok Sabha member from Amreli between 1991 and 2004, Sanghani has also served as an MLA in Gujarat and headed key state ministries such as Agriculture, Cooperation and Animal Husbandry. He has played an important role in shaping farmer-oriented policies at IFFCO.

The company said Sanghani’s leadership is expected to strengthen IFFCO-MC’s efforts to expand its crop protection portfolio, promote sustainable agriculture and enhance farmer outreach through knowledge-based initiatives. It added that the company remains committed to delivering high-quality and affordable crop protection solutions aimed at improving productivity and farmer profitability.

Board members including Vice Chairman Hajime Kito, Director Naohiro Yoshida, Director Yogendra Kumar, Managing Director and CEO Manoj Varshney, Joint CEO Rohit Chopra and COO Santosh Shukla congratulated Sanghani and expressed confidence in his leadership for the company’s next phase of growth and innovation.

Established in 2015 as a joint venture between IFFCO and Mitsubishi Corporation, IFFCO-MC Crop Science operates in the crop protection sector with products across herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, plant growth regulators and agri-biological solutions. The company follows a single-tier distribution model aimed at ensuring transparent and farmer-friendly pricing. IFFCO-MC also runs the ‘Kisan Suraksha Bima Yojana’, which provides free accidental insurance coverage to farmers purchasing its products.
