RuralVoice Agritech Show launched on the occasion of 75th Independence Day
On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, RuralVoice has launched the RuralVoice Agritech Show, which is based on the new technologies that are proving useful for agriculture. Launching the show, Prof. Ramesh Chand, Member, Niti Aayog, said in a video message that technology was becoming more and more important for agriculture. Besides, he said, it had become necessary for technology in agriculture to coordinate with other sectors. He also emphasized the dimensions of modern science and technology which is now becoming part of agriculture technology. He says, “Not only do we have to better utilize the technology available within the country but we should also not hesitate to import the latest, improved techniques from wherever in the world it is available. Besides, our scientists need to work on state-of-the-art techniques.”
In his message given on this occasion, Sundeep Kumar Nayak, MD, NCDC, said that this effort of the RuralVoice Agritech Show to promote technology in agriculture would benefit the farmers and the cooperative sector of the country and help improve their financial situation. Through this show, farmers and others associated with agriculture will get acquainted with recent technology and its advantages.
