On Farmers’ Day, Dhanuka Agritech Adopted Palwal District at DART
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. R.G. Agarwal announced that Dhanuka has adopted the Palwal district and aims to make it a model agricultural district. Dhanuka Agritech Limited organised a special event at its Dhanuka Agritech Research and Technology (DART) center in Palwal on the occasion of Farmers' Day, announcing the adoption of the entire Palwal district. This occasion underscored Dhanuka Agritech's commitment to empowering farmers through sustainable agriculture, research-based innovation, and technology-driven solutions, with the aim of transforming Palwal into a model agricultural district.
The event was graced by Dr. P.K. Singh, Agriculture Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and Dr. Harish Vashisht, Deputy Commissioner, Palwal, as chief guests. Dr. R.G. Agarwal, Chairman Emeritus of Dhanuka Agritech Limited, was also present on the dais. Other distinguished dignitaries included Dr. Sai Das, former Director, ICAR-IIMR; Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, former Member, ASRB; and senior officials of the company.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers emphasized the adoption of good agricultural practices, scientific crop management, and the responsible use of modern technologies to enhance agricultural productivity while maintaining soil and environmental health. Dr. P.K. Singh,stressed the need for farmers to stay updated with research-based solutions to tackle emerging agricultural challenges. Palwal Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Vashisht lauded Dhanuka Agritech's role in enhancing farmer awareness at the grassroots level and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between research institutions, the administration, and farmers for rural development and urged farmers to form Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) for better bargaining power at both input and output levels.
The program was attended by a large number of participants, including Sarpanches from various villages in the area, progressive farmers, presidents of various farmer unions, and a large number of members of the farming community.
During the program, experts interacted with farmers on topics such as integrated pest management, improving soil health, modern crop protection techniques, and sustainable farming methods. The program concluded with an interactive session, further reinforcing Dhanuka Agritech's commitment to empowering farmers through research, technology, and knowledge sharing.
