A jointly signed statement was released by Canadian Pulse and Special Crops Trade Association (CPSC) at the Pulse and Special Crops Convention (PSCC) 2022 organized jointly by Pulse Canada and CPSC at Niagara, Canada.
Pulse Canada, CPSC and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd (NAFED) signed the joint statement advocating for the signing of a free-trade agreement (FTA) between Canada and India. Dr Bijender Singh, Chairman, NAFED, was the signatory from India.
Rajbir Singh, MD, NAFED, addressed the audience at the PSCS at Niagara Falls. He emphasized the greater need of collaboration for increasing availability and affordability of pulses for ensuring nutritional security across the world.
CPSC (formerly Canadian Special Crops Association or CSCA) is a non-profit alliance of over 100 processors, exporters and service providers working together to advance Canada’s pulse and special crops industry. It hosts the PSCC in a different city each year.
The largest event of its kind in North America, the convention provides opportunities to network and discuss important issues impacting the pulse and special crops industry.
The 2023 convention will be held at Banff, Alberta.
