KRIBHCO Signs MoU for Development of ‘Mor Van Biodiversity Park’ in Bhopal
KRIBHCO has signed an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity Board to support development of Mor Van Biodiversity Park in Bhopal. KRIBHCO will provide up to Rs 10 crore for plantation, a Nature Interpretation Centre and related infrastructure.
The Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity Board (MPSBB) for supporting the development of “Mor Van Biodiversity Park” in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The MoU was exchanged in the august presence of Amit Shah, Union Home & Cooperation Minister and Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh.
The MoU was exchanged on behalf of KRIBHCO by V. Sudhakar Chowdary, Chairman, KRIBHCO, and S. S. Yadav, Managing Director, KRIBHCO, with Sudeep Singh, Member Secretary, Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity Board (MPSBB).
Under the MoU, KRIBHCO will provide financial support of up to Rs 10 crore towards approved components of the Mor Van Biodiversity Park project. The proposed support will facilitate key development activities, including plantation, establishment and development of the Nature Interpretation Centre, and associated infrastructure.
The Mor Van Biodiversity Park is envisaged as an important urban green space that will contribute to biodiversity conservation while promoting environmental awareness and strengthening public engagement with nature. The project is expected to provide an avenue for citizens, students, researchers and nature enthusiasts to learn about local biodiversity and ecosystems through experiential and educational activities.
Through this initiative, KRIBHCO reiterates its commitment to contributing towards environmental sustainability and conservation through initiatives that create long-term ecological and social value. As a farmer-centric cooperative organisation, KRIBHCO recognises the importance of protecting natural resources and promoting sustainable practices that benefit present and future generations.
