IIMCAA Awards 2024: Anup Pandey 'Journalist of the Year,' Shagun Kapil receives Agriculture Reporting award

The IIMC Alumni Association hosted the prestigious IIMCAA Awards 2024, recognizing excellence in journalism, public relations, and advertising. Anup Pandey was awarded the 'Journalist of the Year' award, which includes a trophy, certificate, and a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh. Shagun Kapil received the 'Agriculture Reporter of the Year' award, along with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.

Several other media professionals were honored across various categories, receiving trophies, certificates, and Rs 50,000 cash prizes. The notable winners included Rajat Mishra for 'Publishing Reporting,' Abhinav Goel for 'Broadcast Reporting,' Surabhi Singh for 'Producer,' and Muhammad Sabith U M for 'Publishing Reporting in Indian Languages.' Shatarupa Samantaraya secured the award for 'Broadcast Reporting in Indian Languages,' while Saransh Jain won for 'Advertising.' Shillpi A Singh triumphed in 'Public Relations (PR),' Ofactor was awarded 'Ad Agency of the Year,' and Kaizzen was recognized as 'PR Agency of the Year.'

The 'Jury Special Mention' category acknowledged participants who came close to securing top honors. Among them were Abhishek Angad, Ritwika Mitra, Ashutosh Mishra, Manish Mishra, and Nidhi Tiwari in the 'Journalist of the Year' category. Other mentions included Diwash Gahatraj for Agriculture Reporting, Parimal Kumar and Vishnukant Tiwari for Broadcast Reporting, Rohan Kathpalia for Producer of the Year, and Supriya Sundriyal and Nikhil Swami in the 'PR' category.

The award ceremony saw the presence of several notable figures, including former Principal DG of PIB, Kuldeep Singh Dhatwalia; ADG Raj Kumar; Special Commissioner of Delhi Government Sushil Singh; Rahul Sharma, MD of the US-India Business Council; and renowned journalists Prof. Govind Singh, Neelesh Misra, Rupa Jha, Aparna Dwivedi, Harvir Singh, Lola Nayar, Gyaneshwar, Nitin Pradhan, Rajesh Priyadarshi, Prabhash Jha, Alok Kumar, Priyadarshan, Anupam Srivastava, Sumit Awasthi, Manoj Malayanil, Pramod Chauhan, Mihir Ranjan, Prasad Sanyal, Manoj Roorkiwal, SP Singh, Shishir Sinha, Om Prakash, PR expert Samir Kapur, Harshendra Verdhan, marketing expert Shruti Jain, Kalyan Ranjan, Rohit Dubey, Sonia Sarin, and others were present. 

The event was presided over by IIMCAA President Simrat Gulati, while Executive President Gayatri Shrivastava hosted the ceremony. Awards auditor Unni Rajen Shanker, Convenor Vineet Handa, Coordinator Puja Mishra, and General Secretary Deeksha Saksena also participated in the proceedings, releasing a commemorative book featuring profiles and works of the award winners.

The IIMCAA Awards 2024 celebrated the outstanding contributions of professionals in media, recognizing their efforts in shaping the industry and maintaining journalistic excellence.
