Aqgromalin partners with TANUVAS
By becoming an incubatee at VIF@TANUVAS, Aqgromalin helps to provide ‘Ready-to-Implement Micro farms’ to animal husbandry and aquaculture farmers that can help them in improving their household income.
Aqgromalin, one of the fastest-growing farm diversification integrators based in south India, has recently announced its partnership with the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), the first veterinary and animal sciences university in Asia. As part of the agreement, Aqgromalin will be inducted as a virtual (remote) incubatee into the Veterinary Incubation Foundation (VIF) established at the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (VIF@TANUVAS).
Aquaculture is one of the most integral segments of farming. It is rising at a tremendous rate and requires encouraging farmers into the areas of animal husbandry and aquaculture. Thus, by becoming an incubatee at VIF@TANUVAS, Aqgromalin helps to provide ‘Ready-to-Implement Micro farms’ to animal husbandry and aquaculture farmers that can help them in improving their household income. These farms are implemented with minimal investment and include all necessary input infrastructure.
As part of the partnership, VIF@TANUVAS will provide technical guidance and mentorship to Aqgromalin that further helps in providing extensive support to animal husbandry and aquaculture farmers. The partnership also involves VIF@TANUVAS to use Aqgromalin’s manpower resources for developing prototypes and bulk production marketing.
Delighted with the partnership, Prasanna Manogaran of Aqgromalin said, “TANUVAS is the apex body in animal husbandry in Tamil Nadu and one of the most recognized institutions in India. We are delighted and thank TANUVAS for acknowledging our efforts and giving us an opportunity to associate with them for the development of innovative products for aquaculture farmers. We look forward to receiving extensive technical assistance from TANUVAS while providing them a platform to market all the technologies developed by them.”
Recently, Aqgromalin has also launched AQAI — the first-ever business-to-business (B2B) app exclusively for animal husbandry and aquaculture farmers. It is backed by the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) that makes the availability and accessibility of live input materials and technical instruments easy for farmers. Under the incubation and partnership with VIF@TANUVAS, the startup also looks for the propagation of its state-of-the-art app through their Krishi Vigyan Kendra Knowledge network.
Being a new-age farm diversification integrator, Aqgromalin has helped many small landholding farmers through its micro-farm setup. This has further helped a few farmers record an increase in their income by 100 per cent. Furthermore, the startup follows a comprehensive approach to help farmers put their existing farm assets in use and broaden their agricultural practices for better growth and also provides an easy buy policy to help them sell their produce at a highly profitable price.
