Aditya Bioinnovation wins “Best innovative agri startup” at Agri-Food Empowering India Awards 2021
Aditya Bioinnovation has been awarded the “Best innovative agri start-up” at Agri-Food Empowering India Awards 2021 for its research in herbal-based plant protectors and bio-stimulants in nano form that reduce the dependency on chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

Aditya Bioinnovation has been awarded the “Best innovative agri start-up” at Agri-Food Empowering India Awards 2021 for its research in herbal-based plant protectors and bio-stimulants in nano form that reduce the dependency on chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Prahlad Singh Patel, the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti, presented the award in New Delhi.
The award scheme has been conceptualized in association with various Government of India agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
Aditya Bioinnovation has been recognized for its plant-based innovative solutions in the field of agri inputs which reduce the dependency on chemical fertilizers by 50 per cent. The products are low-volume, high-efficiency, eco-friendly, human-friendly and affordable to the farmers.
Delighted with the achievement, Dr Surjyoti Bagchi, Co-founder & Technical Advisor, and Vikas Gupta, Director of Aditya Bioinnovation said, “This award is an acknowledgment of our efforts towards innovative eco-friendly agri inputs in India and has given us immense joy and motivation to do further work in organic farming in India. We are further looking forward to doing plant protection solutions in tea and coffee that are suffering a lot due to pest attacks. We aim to contribute to the agriculture growth in India and empowerment of smallholder Indian farmers through our innovative solutions.”
Aditya Bioinnovation was founded in 2017-18 by three entrepreneurs and it commercialized its products in 2019. The start-up was incubated at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur, and received a grant from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in 2020-21.
Having nine products in its portfolio, Aditya Bioinnovation received two Indian patents for its products in 2019-20. Its products include, among others, bio-stimulant Kohinoor Gold, anti-borer Sujalam and antifungal Nivaran.
