Fight for MSP will be extended to every village: VM Singh

In his first presidential statement in the meeting of the MSP Guarantee National Core Group held in Delhi on November 10 in the MSP Guarantee Act session today, VM Singh said that the fight for MSP had started from village Khod Punjab and would be extended to every village of the country. He said that MSP Guarantee Kisan Morcha had got the support of about 223 farmer organizations from 27 provinces of the country.

In his first presidential statement in the meeting of the Minimum Support Price (MSP) Guarantee National Core Group held in Delhi on November 10 in the MSP Guarantee Act session today, VM Singh said that the fight for MSP had started from village Khod Punjab and would be extended to every village of the country. He said that MSP Guarantee Kisan Morcha had got the support of about 223 farmer organizations from 27 provinces of the country.

In the core committee meeting today, representatives of various farmer organizations from all the states of the country unanimously approved the National Morcha for MSP Guarantee Act constituted by senior farmer leader VM Singh and Dr Rajaram Tripathi. The National Chief Spokesperson was elected. President VM Singh was unanimously granted all the rights for the selection of the members and other office-bearers. Along with this, National spokesperson Dr Rajaram Tripathi was authorized to select the State spokespersons of various states as per the requirement.

VM Singh told that every farmer family of the country should become a part of this campaign, so support is being mobilized by campaigning in the village. The benefits of MSP will be told to every family by putting up wall paintings, Prabhat Pheri, banners and posters in the village. The village committee will work in their own way to create an environment of MSP, whose main goal and slogan will be "Gaon Gaon MSP - Har Ghar MSP (MSP for every village, MSP for every home)".

It was decided that in all the Gram Panchayats of the country, the proposal of the Gram Sabha or the letter of the head/Sarpanch or one directly from the villagers will be written to the Prime Minister. A period of about two months has been fixed for this. After this, from January 1, these letters will be sent to the Prime Minister through the District Officer at regular intervals and on the same day, social media will start on Twitter "Gaon Gaon MSP - Har Ghar MSP” campaign. Lakhs of copies of letters sent through the District Officer will be handed over to the Prime Minister's Office on the occasion of Martyrs' Day on 23 March 2023.

In today's meeting, the dates of the provincial conferences were also fixed, under which the conference was decided to be held in Poona, Maharashtra on December 10. After returning to their states from Delhi, the members of the core committee, after discussing with the farmers' organizations of the state, will give the dates of the provincial conferences of their respective states to the front within a month. Every provincial convention of MSP will be held in the state villages only.

On this occasion, the entire core committee was virtually and physically present, including Raju Shetty, VM Singh, Rampal Jat, Balraj Bhati, Kodihali Chandrashekhar, Jaskaran Singh, Alfond Barth, Deepak Pandey, GN Sharma, Kuldeep Pandey, Ibrahim Khan, Rekha Siwal, Deepak Pandey Mudgal, Sukhdev Virk, Somdutt Sharma, Advocate Sanjay Singh, Sanjay Kumar Thakur, Parasnath Sahu, Tejram Vidrohi, Jitendra Kumar, Dr Rajaram Tripathi, Jitendra Chaudhary, Ashok Singh, Guru Swami and Sukhbir Singh.
