Monsoon which weakened after entering Maharashtra has gained momentum once again. As soon as monsoon becomes active, there are chances of rain in Central India in the coming 4 to 5 days. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), monsoon may enter Central India within the next one week. At the same time, North India will have to wait for monsoon rain. 

According to Skymet Weather, monsoon has become active again in eastern India. Its effect is also being seen. There is heavy rain in the states of eastern India. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert regarding this. According to the Daily Bullet of IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rain in these states for the next five days. Apart from this, light to moderate rains are also expected in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Marathwada and Southeast Rajasthan, South Gujarat, parts of Southern Odisha and Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala, with heavy rains at some places.

According to Skymet, the monsoon knocked in Kerala and the Northeast region on May 30. This was the fourth time in the last ten years that the monsoon arrived before the forecast. At the same time, the monsoon also entered Maharashtra and Gujarat before time. The monsoon knocked in Maharashtra on June 9 and in Gujarat on June 11. After this, the monsoon slowed down and its spread in Central India was delayed. But now the monsoon has become active again. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon will enter Central India within the next four days. After which it will move towards North India.

Central India may soon get relief from the scorching heat, but the heat wave will continue in North India. The Meteorological Department has predicted heat wave in North India till June 21. According to the IMD, heat wave is likely in most parts of North India from June 18 to 20. Between June 18 and 21, heat wave is likely in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, parts of Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir and parts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh and North Rajasthan.
