Bioprime Agrisolutions Pvt Ltd, a Pune-based startup, has won the Best BioAg Start-up award at the prestigious BioAg India conference held in Delhi. The award was presented by Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar in the presence of top global and Indian MNCs.

Bioprime's innovative work on developing biologicals using cutting-edge approaches for molecule and microbe discovery, building new platforms, and developing new high-throughput screening techniques with a highly differentiated approach has put them in the top position.

Besides, Bioprime has been invited to the renowned BioAg World Congress in Rio de Janeiro and nominated for the Innovator Award, a highly prestigious global recognition for innovation in the agricultural biotechnology sector.

Globally, only 12 companies have been selected, and Bioprime happens to be the first Indian start-up to be nominated for the award. Dr. Rahul Jog, a postdoc researcher from Japan, who returned to India to build technology, will represent Bioprime at the international event. Bioprime's work is creating a name for Indian ag biotech research, not only in India but globally.

Speaking about the award and the nomination, Bioprime CEO Dr. Renuka said, "It's a matter of great pride to make our mark at BioAg, both in India and on the global stage. Bioprime is an example of how academic researchers can transition and build commercially successful technologies and products thanks to the changing environment in the country and the availability of government funds like BIRAC and incubators like Venture Center.
