KisaanSay Targets 2 Lakh Farmers by FY27, Expands Sourcing Presence to 15 States
The expansion positions KisaanSay to build one of India’s largest farmer-to-consumer food networks, with more than 50% of consumer spend on every pack going directly to farmers
Direct-from-origin food brand KisaanSay plans to expand its farmer network to two lakh by 2027, from more than 50,000 farmers currently, as it increases its sourcing footprint from 10 states to 15 states. The company currently works with 25 Farmer Enterprises, farmer producer companies (FPC) representing more than 50,000 farmers.
The expansion will involve onboarding Farmer Enterprises across Mizoram, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, while strengthening sourcing partnerships in its existing markets.
The wider sourcing network is expected to support expansion across product categories and increase the availability of region-specific products. KisaanSay currently offers more than 100 Single-Origin products across 12 categories, with products sourced, minimally processed and packed at their respective origins.
KisaanSay has also been expanding its route to market across D2C, e-commerce, quick commerce and offline retail. Its current sales mix comprises approximately 60 percent from its D2C platform, 30 percent from marketplaces and 10 percentfrom offline retail. Its products are available through its own platform, Amazon and other e-commerce channels, as well as Zepto, Blinkit, BigBasket and select retail stores across Delhi-NCR.
The expansion comes after a period of strong business growth. KisaanSay's revenue increased from Rs 5 crore in FY25 to Rs 20 crore in FY26, representing approximately four-fold growth.
“The larger opportunity in India's food supply chain is not just to connect farmers with consumers, but to rethink how value moves between the two. A farmer may produce an exceptional, region-specific product, but by the time it reaches the consumer, the connection with its origin and the value created at the farm level can often get diluted. We believe a more direct model can change that by giving consumers greater visibility into where their food comes from while ensuring farmers participate more meaningfully in the value created around their produce. Scaling our network from 50,000 to 2 lakh farmers is therefore not just a growth target for us; it is about bringing more farmers into a market where provenance, transparency and value creation are linked,” said Nitin Puri, Co-founder, KisaanSay.
Under its Co-Brand/Co-Profit model, Farmer Enterprises participate in the supply chain while KisaanSay manages market access, branding and distribution. More than 50% of consumer spend on every KisaanSay pack goes directly to farmers, linking the company's expansion in sourcing with its farmer-value proposition.
The company raised ₹34 crore in Series A funding in April 2026, led by NABVENTURES through the AgriSURE Fund. The capital is being deployed towards distribution, technology, supply-chain and brand expansion. KisaanSay currently has 1 lakh+ customers and plans to scale its farmer network and product portfolio through FY27
