Two workers died in a boiler accident, IFFCO announces Rs 5 lakh compensation
Two contract workers lost their lives in a boiler accident at Phulpur Unit of IFFCO in Prayagraj on Tuesday. In a statement IFFCO said that it will take care of their dependents in best possible manner and announced a compensation of Rs five lakh
Two contract workers died in a boiler accident at Phulpur unit of Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. Accident took place at around 01:15 p.m. tuesday in the boiler at Phulpur Unit in Prayagraj. Two contract labour lost their lives. Stated in a press statement issued by IFFCO on Tuesday evening. IFFCO will take care of their dependants in best possible manner, it says.
" My heart goes out to the bereaved families of Sh. Pradeep Yadav & Sh. Babuji Yadav who laid down their lives. A compensation of Rs 5 Lakh has been announced and Rs 1 Lakh has been paid immediately to the affected families," the statement quoted Dr U S Awasthi, MD, IFFCO.
The statement also noted that the situation at the accident site is under control and the injured are undergoing appropriate medical treatment at a nearby facility. An official technical enquiry has been ordered to look into the accident to find out the cause of incident.
IFFCO said that on Wednesday at 11am there will be a condolence meeting in all plants and offices of IFFCO and we at IFFCO will observe a 2 minutes silence in solidarity of the departed souls in the Phulpur accident.
