PM Kisan Yojana Remains at Six Thousand Rupees: Shivraj Singh Chauhan

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana), designed to provide financial assistance to farmers, will continue to offer six thousand rupees annually. Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan clarified this during a press conference in Pusa, Delhi, on Saturday, June 15.

17th Installment to be Released on June 18
The Union Agriculture Minister announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi on June 18 to participate in a farmers' conference. During this event, Prime Minister Modi will release the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana to farmers. This move underscores the government's commitment to supporting farmers, as highlighted by the Minister.
Benefits for 9 Crore Farmers
Chauhan emphasized that the PM Kisan Yojana aims to promote the economic well-being of farmers. Since its inception, over 3 lakh crore rupees have been disbursed to approximately 12 crore farmers. On June 18, Prime Minister Modi will release over 20 thousand crore rupees as the 17th installment to about 9 crore farmers.
Farmers across the country will have the opportunity to listen to the Prime Minister's address live at various Krishi Vigyan Kendras. Additionally, 50 specific Krishi Vigyan Kendras have been selected for Union Ministers to visit and engage with farmers during the broadcast. About 2 crore farmers are expected to participate in this program.
