Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his response on X (Twitter), wrote: "People’s power is supreme! Development has won, good governance has won. Amit Shah: ‘Modi in Delhi’s Heart’
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also took to social media, writing: "Modi is in Delhi’s heart… The people of Delhi have demolished the ‘glass palace’ of lies, deception, and corruption, freeing the city from ‘AAP-disaster.’ This election has taught a lesson to those who break promises, setting an example for the entire nation. This marks the beginning of a new era of development and trust in Delhi."
Kejriwal Accepts Defeat with Humility, Vows to Serve as Constructive Opposition
In a statement, Kejriwal said, “We humbly accept the people’s verdict.” He thanked the BJP and expressed hope that it would meet public expectations.
Reflecting on AAP’s 10-year tenure, he stated, “We were given a chance by the people over the past decade. We worked extensively in education, healthcare, water, electricity, and infrastructure to improve their lives. We tried our best to bring relief to the people.”
Acknowledging the defeat, he asserted, “We will not only play the role of a constructive opposition but also continue to serve society. We entered politics not for power but as a medium to serve people and stand by them in their joys and sorrows.”
