Crystal Crop Protection Celebrates 50 Years of Bavistin, Launches Limited Edition Golden Jubilee Pack

Crystal Crop Protection Limited (CCPL), one of India’s leading research-driven agrochemical firms, has commemorated the 50-year legacy of Bavistin, its flagship systemic fungicide that has played a pivotal role in Indian agriculture since 1975. To celebrate this milestone, the company has unveiled a “Limited Edition Golden Jubilee Pack” of Bavistin across key states, reinforcing its continued commitment to crop protection and farmer prosperity.

Introduced five decades ago, Bavistin's systemic action—allowing its active ingredient to travel within the plant and protect every growth point—has made it a reliable choice against a wide array of fungal infections.

In FY 2025, Bavistin crossed a significant sales milestone with over 1,000 metric tonnes sold. Building on this success, Crystal Crop Protection is targeting 9% year-on-year growth and aims to capture 32% of the market share in its category in FY 2026.

Commenting on the occasion, Ankur Aggarwal, Managing Director of Crystal Crop Protection, said, “Bavistin has become a part of India’s farming DNA. For 50 years, it has protected crops and supported farmer prosperity — which reflects our larger purpose at Crystal: to empower Indian farmers with sustainable, science-backed solutions. This Golden Jubilee is not only a celebration of a product but of a deep relationship built on performance and trust.”

The Golden Jubilee Pack of Bavistin has been launched in major states including Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Karnataka — regions that have historically driven high demand for the product. The launch aims to honor the trust placed by millions of farmers while introducing new packaging that symbolizes Bavistin's enduring legacy.

Sohit Satyawali, Chief Business Officer – Crystal Brands Business, echoed this sentiment, stating, “The phrase ‘ज़रूरी था, ज़रूरी है और ज़रूरी रहेगा’ perfectly captures Bavistin’s journey — from being relevant in the past, impactful in the present, and vital for the future generations. This isn’t just a tagline. It’s a reaffirmation of Bavistin’s commitment to Indian agriculture and our continued promise to deliver farmer-first innovations.”

Available in multiple pack sizes — 50g, 100g, 250g, and 500g — Bavistin remains a top choice for disease management among farmers, agronomists, and agri-dealers. Its legacy is backed not only by consistent performance but also by Crystal’s ongoing focus on innovation, quality assurance, and sustainable growth in agriculture.
