IFFCO cautions farmers against unauthorized sale of products on e-commerce platforms

Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) has issued a strong warning against the unauthorized sale of its products through e-commerce platforms. The cooperative clarified that it has not granted permission to any online platform to sell its fertilizers, including nano fertilizers, and urged farmers and retailers to exercise caution.

“IFFCO has not granted permission to any e-commerce platform to sell its products. Purchases made from these online platforms are entirely at the buyer's own risk and liability. These unauthorized platforms are misleading buyers, charging unfair rates, and selling discarded products,” IFFCO stated.

Highlighting the legal implications, IFFCO warned that it will initiate legal action against those involved in the unauthorised sale of its products without an FCO license or the required ‘O’ Form from IFFCO. The cooperative emphasized that only its authorized retailers are permitted to sell its products through approved channels.

IFFCO reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the interests of farmers, retailers, and the agricultural sector. The official prices for all IFFCO products, including nano fertilizers, are available on its official website www.iffco.in.

Additionally, IFFCO strongly advised and cautioned everyone against fraudulent activities, including offering fake IFFCO franchises or soliciting money in the name of IFFCO. To ensure authenticity, farmers are advised to always check with IFFCO-authorized stores or directly through the IFFCO website.  

This advisory serves as a crucial reminder for farmers and retailers to remain vigilant before making purchases to avoid financial loss and compromised product quality.
