Top Policymakers, Industry Leaders and Innovators to Converge at India Bioenergy & Tech Expo 2026

The India Bioenergy & Tech Expo 2026, organised by the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE) and Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA), will be held from August 11-13, at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida, bringing together senior Union and State Ministers, policymakers, industry leaders, investors, technology providers and global experts to deliberate on India’s bioenergy future.

The Expo will open with the exhibition being inaugurated by A.K. Sharma, Hon’ble Minister for Energy & Additional Sources of Energy, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The day will feature a special Uttar Pradesh State Session, with Kailash Singh Rajput, Minister of State for Energy and Additional Sources of Energy, Uttar Pradesh; Dr. Ashish Kumar Goel, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy and Additional Sources of Energy and Chairman, UPNEDA; Pankaj Kumar, Joint Secretary–Transmission, Ministry of Power; Ravinder Kumar, Principal Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Smt. Ministhy S., Commissioner, Cane and Sugar; and Vijay Kiran Anand, Secretary, Infrastructure & Industrial Development Department and CEO, Invest UP, among other senior stakeholders, participating in discussions on bioenergy opportunities.

The main inaugural ceremony will be addressed by Yogi Adityanath, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, as Chief Guest while Santosh Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE, A.K. Sharma, Kailash Singh Rajput and Surya Pratap Shahi, will be Guests of Honour. The day will also feature a CEO Roundtable with the Chief Minister and discussions on biomass, CBG, green hydrogen and sustainable fuels.

The concluding day will begin with the 6th India Green Energy Awards, followed by a plenary featuring Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, as Chief Guest (invited), and Surya Pratap Shahi as Guest of Honour (invited). A dedicated session on “Indian Farms: Fuelling Green Energy Revolution and Farmer’s Income”, with Narendra Bhooshan, Secretary, Department of Land Resources, will focus on farmers, investment and sustainable feedstock ecosystems.

Catalyst for Uttar Pradesh’s Bioenergy Ambitions
The Expo is positioned to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s emergence as a major bioenergy hub, leveraging its agricultural base, abundant biomass resources and expanding ethanol and CBG opportunities. By connecting the state with investors, technology providers and global industry players, the event is expected to facilitate investments, strengthen agricultural-residue supply chains, create rural employment and income opportunities, promote clean-energy industries and accelerate the state’s transition towards a sustainable, circular green economy.

The three-day Expo will provide a platform for policy dialogue, technology partnerships, investment and industry collaboration, contributing to India’s broader clean energy and Net Zero ambitions.
