Tractor Sales Fall 36.5% in July Compared to June, But Rise 18.5% Year-on-Year

Tractor sales witnessed a sharp decline in July, with total sales falling to 86,262 units from 135,950 units in June. The figure, which includes exported tractors, was the lowest monthly sales recorded in 2026 so far. Sales declined 36.5% compared with June. However, they were 18.5% higher than the 72,797 units sold in July 2025.

According to the Tractor and Mechanization Association (TMA), tractor exports also fell to their lowest level of the current calendar year. A total of 8,780 tractors were exported in July, compared with 9,909 units in June, representing an 11.4% decline. However, exports were 3.5% higher than the 8,477 tractors exported in July 2025.

Data available on the TMA website since 2018 shows that July and August are traditionally subdued months for tractor sales. Therefore, the decline recorded in July 2026 is not particularly surprising and is in line with the seasonal trend.

The highest monthly tractor sales recorded in recent months were in October 2025, when total sales, including 7,490 exported tractors, reached 173,635 units.

During the January-July period of 2026, total tractor sales stood at 754,068 units, including exports of 66,679 tractors. In the corresponding period of 2025, total sales stood at 612,320 units, including exports of 61,318 tractors.

Thus, during the first seven months of 2026, total tractor sales increased by 23% year-on-year, while tractor exports grew by 8.7%.
